As companies evolve and learn to become more innovative to succeed, having the precise Supply Chain Management strategies is not only understood, but a demand.  Dollar General subscribes to Supply Chain Management Strategies that align with their business strategies and goals.  In Supply Chain Management, concepts such as better customer service, level process improvements, marketing strategies, logistics, are necessary to meet competitive market demands.

Leveling process improvements is a large element in Dollar General’s Supply Chain Management Strategy.  This is done by identifying key suppliers and trading partners, establishing sourcing and logistics foundations, making sure the strategies align with the business model, and developing and improving integration, productivity, quality, reducing costs, while developing a culture of customer service and high expectations. We have market strategies for E-Commerce,

The logistics aspect of Supply Chain Management strategy revolves around forecasting, operational procedures, and transportation.  The partnership between supply chain and demand chain is critical to the success of our company. 

Dollar General is extremely active in the community. As a company, we support programs such as Habitat for Humanity, Local Food Banks, Red Cross, United Way, March of Dimes, and Youth and Adult literacy.  The literacy program works with local schools and libraries to provide resources for youth and adults to attain a high school diploma or GED.  Currently, Dollar General has over 14,000 stores and 15 active distribution centers across the United States. 

San Antonio currently employees over 600 people for two shifts.  We have a trailer maintenance facility for our private and dedicated fleet.  Our processes include order filling, stocking, forklift functions, loading/unloading, receiving, maintenance, WMS, inventory, human resources, safety/ training, and sanitation. We service over 1,000 stores for Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arizona.  We are proud to serve our local and surrounding counties.
