Digital transformation is about more than implementing new technology. Creating sustainable value requires organizations to align technology with supply chain processes, employee roles, decision rights and performance measures.
This Professional Development Meeting will introduce ASCM’s Digital Capabilities Model for Supply Networks and explain how it can help organizations assess digital readiness, identify capability gaps and prioritize opportunities. The presentation will explore how processes and roles should evolve as automation expands, including the shift from manual transactions and data collection toward exception management, analysis and decision-making. Further discussion will include how DCM accelerates the ability to discover scope for AI enabled automation and then execute AI solutions to achieve tangible results.
Participants will also learn a practical approach for connecting digital initiatives to measurable operational, customer and financial outcomes. The session will emphasize starting with a clearly defined business problem, establishing a performance baseline, conducting a focused pilot and demonstrating value before scaling.
Attendees will leave with a framework for identifying a digital supply chain opportunity in their own organization and defining a practical next step.
